Located in the former Castle Chapel, the Steyr Register Office lends a special festive atmosphere to civil weddings. Wedding ceremonies are held on Saturday mornings and on all other work days during office hours. For wedding dates between May and October we recommend timely reservation (6 months prior to the intended wedding date). From May to September, additional marriage ceremonies are held, maximally once a month, on Fridays from 1 pm - 5 pm, on Saturdays from 1 pm - 4 pm and on Sundays and holidays from 9 am - 12 noon. Upon request, the Steyr Register Office can engage a musician (for the organ or keyboard in the Castle Chapel) to play four musical pieces that will both lighten up the ceremony and enhance its festive mood.
