Log Raft Building Workshop

To build your own log raft, oars must be made, “Sturl” chopped, “Klampfen” forged and willow branches twisted – then you can finally float down the Enns River on your own self-made raft! Raft building requires common sense and team spirit among the participants but is also great fun and will surely boost your vitality. In between we’ll take a break to prepare “Fletzensterz” together, a local dish made of potatoes and bacon. You'll not only gain age-old expert knowledge of how to work with wood, iron and water but you’ll also have a fantastic time - lots of fun guaranteed!

Sporty Raft Building Workshop

Ennskai/Steyr

Together we will build a modern raft made of inflatable rubber tubes and logs capable of carrying us down even long stretches of the Enns River. Depending on the water level, we might even float past the historic Enns quay of Steyr. Initially, the raft will be carried along by the river current, further down the stream the participants will have to use their own muscle power. Somewhere along the river, we’ll land, enjoy a barbecue on the riverbank and, if the weather is fine, take a swim in the refreshing river water. Give yourself up to the quiet power of the river's water and enjoy a day that will recharge your batteries before returning to your daily routine!
