At 10:00 am a solemn mass will be celebrated in the Steyr Michaelerkirche. Afterwards the participants will meet in the Michaelerplatz square and proceed in a festive procession to the Stadtplatz square. During the procession the various horse breeds and horse carriages will be briefly presented, welcomed and the horses will receive a blessing.

Austria's best bikers as well as international top bikers will race at a tearing pace through the historical town centre. 1,200 meters of cobblestone pavement and spectacular sections with stairs characterize this demanding circuit race. In the celebrity race, top athletes, cultural and business celebrities will compete against each other.

Steyr city run at the Steyr town festival

Besides the great fireworks on Saturday, the Steyr city run is the highlight of the Steyr town festival on Sunday. It should be a running jubilee for everyone - for amateur as well as for top athletes, not to mention the thousands of spectators along the 6.2 km long course.www.lac-amateure.at

In this City Funsport- Event 20 teams from regional companies will compete against each other in seven contests. The McDonald Steyr Män offers fun, entertainment and action both for the participants and spectators. A giant video wall, spectator stand, catering booths and many other highlights round off the event!

Pottery market at the Steyr Stadtplatz

Fri, 31 July until Sun, 2 August 2009  |  9 am -6 pm

The choice of goods is as always very original: Indoor fountains, hand-made pottery coffee mugs, tea lights, jewellery, vases and many other things. The pottery master demonstrates his craft on the pottery wheel. On tables young visitors may try their hand at pottery with expert guidance. They may of course take their creations home with them.
