Nativity scenes past and present
pfeil

Nativity scene exhibitions since 1923. About 400 nativity scenes from the 4th century offer a comprehensive survey of nativity scene tradition in the Steyr region. The exhibits come from a private collection and are complemented by various loans. The aim is to show the diversity of representations and of the materials used. Domestic nail maker or box nativity scenes hold a place of honour. Christmas nativity scenes from 50 countries, family altars, Easter scenes, weather crosses etc. complete the exhibition.
