“Don Giovanni“

For this in-house production, the Schlossgraben of the Lamberg Castle - Austria's most beautiful open-air ambience - has been fitted with new seating stands for the audience and a special sound system. The opera focuses on the fascinating but unscrupulous seducer of women Don Giovanni from Seville whom no woman irrespective of her social class can resist and who lives an irresponsible life without regard to moral principles. Since he shows no regret and does not answer the call for repentance, he is devoured by the flames of hell in punishment. Festival director Ebner succeeded in signing on Susanne Sommer (director), Niels Muus (musical director) and a number of favourite singers from the Volksoper and Staatsoper for this musical drama.

Children's musical “Obstsalat“

A musical by children for children about current social themes In the supermarket, regional fruits such as the Granny Smith apple and citrus fruits from abroad led by the pineapple make life difficult for each other. The little fruits Kronprinz and Clementine become friends (like Romeo and Juliet) and make an important discovery: that they do have something in common - namely vitamins. The dispute between the various fruits is settled and in the end they all become one big family in a fruit salad.
